The Nine Quarter Circle Ranch is far away in the sense of both place and time. It's a family run Montana Dude Ranch that looks and operates just as it did 100 years ago, amid landscapes too spectacular to describe. Montana's wide-open spaces, breathtaking vistas and wildlife are all right here on the ranch amid thousands of acres in the mountains of the Gallatin National Forest. Cabins are rustic and cozy and spread out from the main lodge in a camp-like setting. For an authentic Montana Dude Ranch experience, this is the place where the stars shine bright at night, wildlife abounds and serenity takes the place of hustle and bustle. Day 1: Thursday, September 5, 2019: WELCOME TO YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK!

Visit Yellowstone and experience the United States' first national park. Marvel at a volcano's hidden power rising up in colorful hot springs, mudpots, and geysers. Explore mountains, forests, and lakes to watch wildlife and witness the drama of the natural world unfold. Discover the history that led to the conservation of our national treasures “for the benefit and enjoyment of the people.”

• Arrive into Bozeman, MT or West Yellowstone Airport and transfer to the Three Bear Lodge in West Yellowstone to check in (transfers are not included, however options will be made available).
• Mid-day meet, greet and exploration of the beautiful surroundings.
• This evening, we enjoy a delicious welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight in Yellowstone (Three Bear Lodge) (D)

Day 2: Friday, September 6, 2019: OLD FAITHFUL, YELLOWSTONE GRAND CANYON AND THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE

• Breakfast at our hotel.
• We depart this morning and follow Yellowstone's west entrance road along the Madison River for fourteen miles where wildlife abounds - herds of elk and bison, bald eagles nesting and water fowl are seen in all areas. Over the next 16 miles we will view five different geyser basins and take a nature walk along the board walks in the Fountain Paint Pot thermal area. Hot springs, mud pots, fumaroles (steam vents), and geysers are right at our finger tips, taking our breath away.
• We continue to the Old Faithful Geyser basin area to view this world-famous geyser erupt (approximately every 93 minutes) and visit the Old Faithful Inn, a national historic landmark and the world largest log structure.
• Our tour continues in a southerly direction crossing the continental divide two times, stopping at the Lake region of Yellowstone at the West Thumb Geyser basin along the shoreline of Lake Yellowstone. Enjoy the spectacular scenery as we view the world's largest alpine lake at over 7,000 feet in elevation.
• We take a break and enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the majestic scenery and endless landscape.
• Continuing northward, we follow the Yellowstone River into Hayden Valley, home of the grizzly bear and large herds of bison. Wildlife is abundant and the meadows and forests are carpeted in wild flowers. At the north end of Hayden Valley sits the spectacular Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone with two large waterfalls. We visit Artist Point and view the 309-foot-tall Lower Falls and follow that up with a visit to the Upper Falls which is 109 feet tall. The multi colored canyon and majestic waterfalls are truly one of the most awe-inspiring views that North America has to offer.
• Our tour now turns westward and crosses the central plateau of Yellowstone and enters the Gibbon River area. Numerous thermal features are visible along the road as our guide offers insights and narrative expertise.
• We return to our lodge with time to refresh.
• We gather for a short and sweet Shabbat kiddush, then head to dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight in Yellowstone (Three Bear Lodge) (B, L, D)

Day 3: Saturday, September 7, 2019: GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK AND JACKSON HOLE

• Breakfast at our hotel.
• Yellowstone's sister park to the south is Grand Teton National Park, a range of mountains considered by many to be the most spectacular mountain range in North America. Our tour traverses the roads of Yellowstone, through the primary Geyser basin areas, dropping 2,000 feet of elevation into the area of the Grand Tetons.
• The Grand Teton mountain range is approximately 65 miles long from north to south with the Grand Teton as the main attraction. Beautiful Jackson Lake sits on the east side of the mountain range with the Snake River meandering along its base. We make numerous photo stops from various scenic points and travel right up to the base of the range at beautiful Jenny Lake.
• We break for a picnic lunch in the wake of all the beauty of the mountain range.
• We head south past the National Elk Refuge and visit the town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We spend time in Jackson Hole to walk the streets and shop a little and maybe grab a drink at The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar.
• The views are stunning as we travel up and over Teton Pass and then enter the state of Idaho. Our drive along the western flanks of the Grand Tetons will surprise you as they look totally different from the west side. Now it is home to the seed potatoes capital of the world.
• We continue along the Teton scenic by-way and head back up into the Targhee National Forest to visit two stunningly beautiful waterfalls, the Upper and Lower Mesa Falls.
• After a glorious day, the tour returns to our hotel for a much-needed relaxing evening at leisure.
• Dinner tonight is not included but a “follow-the-leader” option will be made available.

Overnight in Yellowstone (Three Bear Lodge) (B, L)
