Tour Itinerary:

DAY 1: Wednesday, March 11, 2020: DEPARTURE

• We depart New York on our overnight flight to Israel.

DAY 2: Thursday, March 12, 2020: WELCOME TO ISRAEL!

• We arrive in Israel and are met by an Ayelet Tours representative.
• We transfer to Tel Aviv to check into our hotel and refresh.
• This evening, we join together for dinner and a pre-tour meeting at our hotel.

DAY 3: Friday, March 13, 2020: TOURING TEL AVIV

• Breakfast at our hotel.
• Enjoy the morning at leisure to discover Tel Aviv on own.
• This afternoon, we visit the Carmel Market, where we take in the sights, smells and sounds of this bustling marketplace and watch as the locals busily prepare for the Jewish Sabbath.
• Next, we stroll through the ancient cobblestone alleyways of Old Jaffa, reputed to be one of the oldest ports in the world, and notably the port from which Jonah set off in the famous biblical story of Jonah and the Whale. It was here Peter stayed for a while at Simon the Tanner's house and Peter prayed for Tabitha as she rose from the dead.
• We return to our hotel to refresh, followed by Shabbat dinner with a guest speaker from Kehilat HaMaayan, a Messianic congregation in nearby Kfar Saba.

DAY 4: Saturday, March 14, 2020: SHABBAT SHALOM!

• Breakfast and check out of our hotel.
• Today, we attend Shabbat services at Congregation HaMaayan.
• We travel north to Caesarea, the former Roman capital of the area, where we view the ancient theater and the aqueduct.
• Our next stop is in Nazareth Village, a farm and village recreated to allow us to step back to the time of Jesus, including local villagers, olive trees, an ancient wine press a synagogue and mikve.
• We continue to the Galilee to check into our kibbutz with time to relax before dinner together this evening.

DAY 5: Sunday, March 15, 2020: NAZARETH & CAPERNAUM

• Breakfast at our kibbutz.
• We begin our day atop Mt. Precipice. It was here that the people of Nazareth rejected Jesus, but he prevailed. Our time here includes a worship service.
• We continue to Capernaum, the town of Jesus and home of St. Peter. It was from this city that Jesus did much of his work teaching, healing and performing many miracles.
• Our next stop is at Nof Ginosar to see the Jesus era boat discovered nearby. It is believed that this is the same type of boat upon which Jesus sailed on the Sea of Galilee.
• Next, we set out on a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, enjoying the beautiful scenery.
• This evening, we enjoy a St. Peter's fish dinner overlooking the sea.

DAY 6: Monday, March 16, 2020: THE BEAUTIFUL NORTH

• Breakfast at our kibbutz.
• This morning, we visit Kibbutz Misgav Am, where we volunteer to serve the local Jewish community.
• Next, we visit Caesarea Philipi at the base of Mt. Hermon, where there is one of the largest springs that runs into the Jordan River. Here, we see the excavations of an ancient Roman settlement.
• This afternoon, we set out on a jeep tour through the Golan Heights, passing former Syrian bunkers on the way to the top of Mt. Bental, where we take in the views reaching far into Syria.
• We return to our kibbutz for a relaxing evening and dinner together.

DAY 7: Tuesday, March 17, 2020: SHILOH / THE DEAD SEA

• Breakfast and check out of our kibbutz.
• This morning, we depart the Galilee and travel south.
• We hear a lecture by David Rubin of Shiloh Israel's Children, an organization that helps heal children affected by trauma due to terrorism. We meet some of the children and offer gifts. We also visit modern and ancient Shiloh.
• We pass by the Qumran caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered by a local shepherd.
• Later this afternoon, we head to the beach for an unsinkable swim in the healing, salty waters of the Dead Sea.
• We travel to our hotel to check in and refresh before enjoying dinner together this evening.

DAY 8: Wednesday, March 18, 2020: MASADA TO JERUSALEM

• Breakfast and check out of our hotel.
• This morning, we arise early and ascend Masada by cable car or snake path to view the remains of King Herod's fortress, including the synagogue, walls and bathhouses, as we learn about the Jewish Zealot's last stand against the Roman forces.
• We stop at Qasr al Yahud, a baptism site on the banks of the Jordan River.
• We travel to Jerusalem, stopping atop Mt. Scopus to say a special “Shehecheyanu” blessing as we look out over the City of Gold for the first time together.
• Later this afternoon, we engage in an unforgettable hands-on experience packing food staples included in monthly food baskets delivered to Israel's neediest families via the M.J.A.A.'s amazing Joseph Project.
• We check into our hotel and relax, then enjoy dinner together this evening.

DAY 9: Thursday, March 19, 2020: SAMARIA

• Breakfast at our hotel.
• Today, we visit Samaria with Sondra Baras of the Christian Friends of Israeli Communities. Samaria is where the Tabernacle stood for almost 400 years. This is the place where Hannah prayed her famous prayer and Samuel was born - the beginning of the Prophetic era.
• We stop for a panoramic view from the 3 Seas Outlook.
• Later this afternoon, we visit the “Heart of Benjamin”, which provides educational and recreational activities for special-needs children from all over the Benjamin region. During our visit, we meet some of the children and give them gifts.
• We complete our day with a visit to Psagot Winery for a tour and tasting.
• We return to our hotel for dinner together this evening.

DAY 10: Friday, March 20, 2020: THE OLD CITY

• Breakfast at our hotel.
• This morning, we enter the Old City for a tour of the Western Wall tunnels, where we discover the archaeological wonders that once remained untouched for centuries.
• Next, we visit the Western Wall, where we have time for personal reflection.
• We stroll to the Christian quarter for a complete tour of the area. We explore the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, including a visit to the Chapel of Golgotha.
• We return to our hotel to relax and refresh.
• As the sun sets, we join together for “Shabbat of a Lifetime”, an authentic experience in the heart of Jerusalem. We join together with a local family to take part in the weekly Jewish rituals and savor the many flavors that Jews around the world have enjoyed for thousands of years.

DAY 11: Saturday, March 21, 2020: SHABBAT SHALOM!

• Breakfast at our hotel.
• Today, we visit Jerusalem's Friends of Zion Museum, where stories of love and heroism are brought to life using ground-breaking technology. We step back in time and experience the story as it unfolds before us, including music, lighting and interactive displays.
• We travel to Bethlehem for a moving visit to the Church of the Annunciation, followed by lunch at the Grotto Restaurant.
• We continue to the Garden of Gethsemane, a beautiful spot believed to have been a garden even in biblical times. It is believed that Jesus and His disciples retreated to the garden after the Last Supper. It is here that Jesus gave His last sermon to His students.
• We continue to the Garden Tomb believed by many Christians to be the site where Jesus was buried and resurrected.
• This evening, we enjoy a special dinner with Brayden Waller of HaYovel (subject to confirmation).

DAY 12: Sunday, March 22, 2020: ANCIENT JERUSALEM

• Breakfast at our hotel. We check out of our hotel and store our luggage for the day.
• We begin our day atop the Temple Mount, a holy site to Jews, Christians and Muslims alike (security permitting).
• Next, we visit Ir David, the City of David, where we wander through the carefully preserved archaeological excavations dating back to the time of King David.
• This afternoon, we visit the pedestrian promenade along Ben Yehuda Street for time to shop on own.
• We complete our day at the top of the Mount of Olives to take in the panoramic views of Jerusalem and see the place where Jesus wept.
• We enjoy a festive farewell dinner this evening, complete with closing thoughts, as we approach the end of our blessed journey together.
• We transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for our overnight flight back to the United States.

Day 13: Monday, March 23, 2020: WELCOME HOME!

• We arrive back in the United States this morning.
